Requires an understanding of FAA parts 139, 77, 150 and TSA 1542. Capable of working independently. Related experience, computer skills, and knowledge of airport operations a plus. The ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime required as needed, will increase seasonally due to snow removal or other staff coverage. This position will be third shift based on department seniority.

All positions will require a valid Illinois driver’s license with a good driving record.  Each position is subject to Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration regulations.  Must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check and drug screen.  Degree in Aviation or a related field.  Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted

The Greater Rockford Airport Authority (GRAA) is the governing authority over the Chicago Rockford International Airport. The Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) is located approximately 85 miles northwest of Chicago. The airport covers about 3,000 acres with 800 airfield related acres. The airport currently provides passenger service to ten destinations. RFD is home to the second largest air hub sorting facility in United Parcel Service's system.
