DY Consultants is looking for a Construction Inspector to join our dynamic airport engineering team. This role offers a unique chance to advance your career with a growing firm that specializes in airport expansion and enhancement projects both domestically and internationally. We seek a candidate who excels independently and collaboratively, handling tasks like construction inspection, management, and design support for projects including pavement rehabilitation, airfield lighting, and navigational aids.
Key responsibilities: overseeing airfield safety and standards, managing construction administration, reviewing plans and specifications, and facilitating project coordination among stakeholders. You will also support the design team with constructability reviews, perform field measurements using Civil 3D, and prepare detailed reports and estimates.
Expect significant fieldwork (90%+), with some office duties during the off-season. The role involves traveling to various airport sites and working in line with FAA and state requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Degree and Minimum eight (5) years related experience performing the responsibilities outlined above for transportation related projects (highways, airports, rail, etc.)
Ability to pass Federal background and criminal investigation checks to obtain Airport identification badges
Valid U.S. driver's license required
Experience with Civil 3D is preferred and proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
