Assists the Controller in managing accounting and grant functions. Performs a full range of professional accounting duties and responsibilities for accounting, grant, and debt compliance issues and operations. Maintains accounting systems and accounts for large, complex activities. Performs related functions. Directs, coordinates, prepares, and reviews the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports. Establishes, implements, and enforces accounting policies and procedures. Ensures policies and procedures are up-to-date. Researches and implements new accounting pronouncements and provides guidance on changes in accounting policies and procedures. Manages GASB87 accounting and financial reporting requirements.
