The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $175,000. A starting salary above the mid-point is achievable for the exceptional candidate and will be dependent upon experience. Housing assistance/ allowance is currently being determined. Airport vehicle will be provided. ACK offers an attractive benefits package and will determine relocation costs.
The Nantucket Memorial Airport Commission is seeking an Airport Manager for the Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK). This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the Island airport. This includes overseeing terminal operations, airfield activities, business and service operations of the airport-owned fixed base operation (FBO) and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. A critical component of the role is leading and developing a team of dedicated airport staff and managing relationships with community members, business partners, stakeholders, vendors, and contractors. The Manager is expected to stay current with industry trends and innovations to ensure the airport remains competitive and meets evolving passenger and airline needs. Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Senior management experience in aviation including engagement with governing bodies and community is preferred.

Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK) is operated
as a municipal Enterprise Fund as part of the Town
of Nantucket. The Airport is financially self-sufficient.
Revenue consistently exceeds expenses: business
aviation, large air carrier, and non-aeronautical revenue
generation are the major revenue sectors for ACK. The
Airport’s fiscal year 2025 operating budget (ending
6/30/2025) is $11.2M. The 5-year Capital Improvement
Program Budget is $259M, which includes $96.8M for a
major runway rehabilitation project.
