The Idaho Falls Regional Airport is currently looking for an Airport Operations Manager. Incumbents in this position ensure regulatory compliance with the Airport Certification Manual and general operation of a commercial service airport. This is a highly responsible position that must interpret local, state, and Federal regulations and policy documents and apply them in a practical manner to ensure the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the Idaho Falls Regional Airport. As a member of the airport management team, the individual in this position must be adaptable to team dynamics while ensuring that the daily operational mission of the airport is upheld. Thorough knowledge of modern airport operations, administration, management, and customer service is essential.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management, airport management, aviation safety, business management or a related field;
AND
-At least three (3) years’ work experience in Airport Operations with direct responsibility for carrying out the requirements of an Airport Certification Manual issued in accordance with 14 CFR Part 139 at a commercial service airport. Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives, or ability to attain within one-year.
OR
-An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful candidates will possess one, or more, of the following preferred certifications, trainings, and/or experience:
- Basic/Advanced Airport Safety and Operations Specialist School, Airport Security Coordinator certificate, Airport Certified Employee (any topic), and/or Federal Emergency Management Agency course of ICS.100/200/700/800.
- Demonstrated work experience across multiple seasons, to include airport winter snow operations, is highly desired.
- Previous management and supervisory experience is preferred.
