This position supports air service development initiatives at Memphis International Airport by conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting with marketing efforts to retain existing and attract new air service to the airport, including domestic, international, general aviation, passenger, and cargo services.
Monitors and sustains awareness of airport's capacities by tracking airline schedules, fares, capacity, industry developments and master plans. Develops and maintains database and prepares regular performance reports. Supports relationships with airlines, tourism boards, chamber of commerce, and other community stakeholders. Supports outreach and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business, Public Administration, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and training. 3 years’ experience in aviation, air service development or related field.

Three (3) years of Aviation, Air Service Development, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint; experience with database and business intelligence software. Experience with digital marketing and social media platforms.
Knowledgeable of Airline industry trends, economics, and route planning; principles of route service development for passenger and cargo services; Air carrier operating models, route structures, and alliances; Aircraft performance and airport operational capabilities; and Air transportation data collection and reporting standards.
Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) owns and operates Memphis International Airport (MEM), as well as two general aviation airports, General DeWitt Spain airport near downtown and Charles W. Baker airport in Millington. Thanks to the presence of FedEx, MEM is the second-busiest cargo airport in the world and the busiest in North America. In addition, MEM’s nine commercial airlines served 4.8 million passengers in 2024.
MSCAA is in the midst of a reinvention of Memphis International Airport, including the opening of a new $245 million passenger concourse in 2022 and a $305 million centralized deicing facility in 2023. In 2024, the airport will begin a massive $665 million terminal modernization project, which will involve the renovation of the ticketing and baggage areas, as well as the security checkpoint.
