Under the general direction of the Director of Airfield Operations and Emergency Management, the Senior Manager of Airport Operations Center is responsible for overseeing the Authority's 24/7/365 which serves as the central hub for all airport operations. This role involves proactive management and leadership of key airport systems, including customer processing and movement, emergency management functions, fire suppression detection, and radio and telephone communications supporting critical systems such as elevators, escalators, and shuttles. This position coordinates directly with the Tampa Airport Police Department, who leads the 911 Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMS) communications within the operations center but does not directly supervise the public safety dispatchers. The role is responsible for managing a team of approximately 21 people on rotating shifts. This position will lead the growth of the AOC to an integrated operations center. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration, Airport Management or a related field.
Five (5) years of experience managing operations at a large or medium hub airport.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CJIS/FDLE regulatory experience or other regulatory agency coordination, engagement, and accountability.
FAA Part 139 regulatory experience or security related experience
Certified Member (CM), AAE (Accredited Airport Executive), or related credentials for telecommunications or public safety.
