Under the general direction of the Director of Airfield Operations and Emergency Management, the Senior Manager of Airport Operations Center is responsible for overseeing the Authority's 24/7/365 which serves as the central hub for all airport operations. This role involves proactive management and leadership of key airport systems, including customer processing and movement, emergency management functions, fire suppression detection, and radio and telephone communications supporting critical systems such as elevators, escalators, and shuttles. This position coordinates directly with the Tampa Airport Police Department, who leads the 911 Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMS) communications within the operations center but does not directly supervise the public safety dispatchers.
