Responsible for overseeing all Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) programs at Tweed-New Haven Airport, including the FAA Safety Management System (SMS), this role aims to foster a strong safety culture that protects employees, customers, operations, and the environment. Key duties include developing and monitoring EHS training programs, conducting audits and inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, EPA), and updating manuals and procedures. The position chairs the Safety Committee, investigates incidents, enforces corrective actions, tracks safety metrics, and manages EHS permits and reports. It also acts as a liaison for airfield projects, promotes safety initiatives, and supports employee compliance with EHS policies and PPE requirements.
