JOB TITLE:CAD and GIS Systems Manager REPORTS TO:Director, Engineering and Planning DEPARTMENT:Engineering, Planning, and Facilities FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt ~ Full-time Salary Grade Range: $76,400 - $114,600
The Airport CAD & GIS Manager is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating maps, sketches, exhibits, drawings, diagrams, plans, and facilities information using AutoCAD, Revit, and other digital systems. This role supports airport construction, engineering projects, presentations, and regulatory submittals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum two years’ experience in AutoCAD operation and drafting.
Knowledge of DBASE, AutoCAD, and GIS software applications.
Knowledge of engineering design and layout activities.
Knowledge of inspection techniques and practices.
Knowledge of mathematical computations used in construction.
Knowledge of state and FAA rules and regulations relating to airport design and construction practices.
Knowledge of airport facilities and operations procedures, preferred.
The Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority was created as a public agency by the State of Florida to operate and manage the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. The Airport Authority is tasked with the power to acquire, construct, improve, finance, operate, and maintain the airport facilities for the primary purpose of meeting the air transportation needs of Sarasota and Manatee counties. The Authority has six Commissioners appointed by the Governor, each serving four year terms. Three Commissioners reside in Manatee County and three reside in Sarasota County. The Airport Authority Commission directly employs the President, Chief Executive Officer. The President, CEO, executes Authority policy decisions and coordin...ates the activities of the airport.
