This position will perform project management and supervision of airport projects and teams. This role will be responsible for managing and providing technical oversight for airport expansion and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects, including the Austin Expansion Development Project (AEDP). Duties include coordinating and supervising engineering, planning, design, and construction activities for AUS capital projects and third-party developments, ensuring compliance with applicable FAA regulations, design standards, project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Architecture, Engineering, or in a related field, plus six (6) years of work experience in managing projects, including two (2) years of experience managing projects for airport or airlines in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Licenses and Certifications Required: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Licensed Architect (RA), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Austin–Bergstrom International Airport or ABIA is a Class C international airport located in Austin, Texas, United States, and serving the Greater Austin metropolitan area, the 34th-largest metropolitan area in the United States. Located about 5 miles southeast of Downtown Austin, it covers 4,242 acres and has two runways and three helipads. It is on the site of what was Bergstrom Air Force Base. The airport and air force base were named after Captain John August Earl Bergstrom, an officer who served with the 19th Bombardment Group. The airport replaced Robert Mueller Municipal Airport as Austin's main airport. The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is run by the City of Austin Aviation Department. The Department has operated as a self-supporting entity since 1972. The airport does not receive any general fund subsidy and has entirely paid its general obligation debt issued from airport-generated funds.
