Reporting to the Vice President of Planning and Development, the Construction Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the construction program at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. The over $100 million, five-year capital program consists of impactful capital developments such as the construction of a new air cargo facility, runway pavement strengthening and the relocation of Taxiway ‘A’, among other improvements. The Construction Manager will oversee and manage the diverse array of airport facility projects through design, bidding, contract award and construction. Additionally, the Construction Manager will supervise project manager(s) to assist him/her in coordinating construction activities, schedules, cost, etc., throughout the life of each project.
