Exercises direct supervision over Airport Operations Manager, Lead Maintenance Supervisor, and Parking Attendants.   Develops and implements programs and procedures to assure that the airport complies with State and Federal regulations.  These programs and management functions include, but are not limited to: ACM, AEP, ASP, WHMP, PMMP, SWPPP,   Requires good judgment and decision-making.  Required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with airport stakeholders.   Reviews, interprets, enforces and implements Federal, State and City regulations, directives and policies.

Serves as the ASC.

Responds to on-airport and off-airport emergencies.   Coordinates and oversees snow/ice prevention and removal efforts, and Diversions.   Performs other job related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Three (3) years of experience in Operations Management at a Part 139 certificated airport is required.

A Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management or a related field is preferred.
 
License or Certificate:
 
A valid Texas Driver’s License; the ability to obtain one in ninety (90) days from hire, or a military waiver is required. 
Required to pass a TSA fingerprint-based criminal background investigation. 
Certified Member of American Association of Airport Executives or applicable ACE certifications is preferred. 
Ability to work outdoors and to withstand the exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures and elements.
Ability to work weekends and evening hours, as needed.
With or without accommodation, ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to travel to conferences and meetings out of town, when necessary.
Ability to work on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
Considered Essential Personnel in the event of City Offices closure and reports to work as assigned by the Director.
