 What You&#39;ll Do &#xa0; 
 The Terminal Operations Officer assists in the management of the Jeppesen Terminal, Concourses, Federal Inspection Services (FIS) area, and airport roadways, including issues involving passenger flow and customer service, security, international arrivals, certain airport infrastructure and facility issues, concessions, and airline operations. Terminal Operations Officers monitor compliance with airport and federal regulations to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public and airport employees.&#xa0; 
 &#xa0; 
 As a Terminal Operations Officer, your responsibilities will include: &#xa0; 
 
 
 Assist airport supervisors and managers with Incident Command in managing, coordinating, and resolving airport emergencies, security issues, irregular operations, and unusual situations&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Inspect, monitor, and manage the Terminal, Concourses, airport roadways, concessions and tenants, automated defibrillator units, landside structures, and other airport facilities to ensure efficient passenger flow and safety&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Assist in planning and coordinating of construction, irregular operations, and snow related activities related to Terminal Operations&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Enforce airport security requirements in the Terminal and Concourses within the landside areas of the airport&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Maintain accurate and complete logbook entries of airport events including operation metrics and databases&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Read, interpret, and enforce Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Part 1542 regulations, the Airport Security Program, and Denver Municipal Airport System Rules and Regulations; Manage the daily passenger operations through the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) area (international arrivals/customs facility)&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Manage the day-to-day operations and passenger flow throughout the airport which includes the security screening checkpoints, collaborates with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), manages the activities of the Total Queue Management (contract) staff, and monitors and regulates the activities of the Registered Traveler program&#xa0; 
 
 
 
 
 Coordinates airline operations including irregular passenger operations at the airline ticket counters, gate areas, customer service counters, airline lounges, skycap and wheelchair operations, baggage claim, and baggage make-up units&#xa0; 
 
 
 Serves as a co-responder in accordance with 34 U.S.C. &#xa7; 10705 during fire, medical, hazardous material, and related emergencies.&#xa0; Operates on a 24/7 schedule and collaborates effectively with the Denver Police Department, Denver Fire Department, Denver Health Paramedics, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), as well as other state and local agencies.

A commercial service airport seeks an experienced operations leader to oversee terminal and landside activities. Responsibilities include supervising operations staff, coordinating airline gate planning and irregular operations, overseeing vendors and construction activities, conducting operational inspections, and serving as liaison with airlines, tenants, and service providers. The position also supports emergency response and maintains detailed operational reporting.

Qualified candidates will have experience managing terminal or landside operations at a commercial service airport, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage time-sensitive operational issues. A bachelor&#8217;s degree in aviation management, airport operations, business, public administration, or a related field is required.

Candidates must pass TSA/FAA background checks and be available for irregular hours and emergency response. Key Responsibilities: 
 Provide leadership and direction to operations staff, supervisors, and frontline personnel to ensure safe and efficient airport operations. 
 Manage daily terminal operations, including passenger flow, curbside activity, sterile/secured area coordination, and public-use areas. 
 Oversee landside operations, including ground transportation, parking operations, roadway activity, and commercial vehicle management. 
 Coordinate airline gate planning, assignments, and utilization to support efficient operations and minimize delays. 
 Manage irregular operations (IROPs), diversions, and schedule disruptions in collaboration with airline partners. 
 Serve as the operational liaison with airlines, terminal tenants, concessions, and service providers. 
 Monitor and document vendor and contractor activities occurring within the terminal and landside areas. 
 Coordinate terminal construction projects and tenant improvements to minimize operational disruptions. 
 Conduct inspections to ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant with applicable standards. 
 Support emergency response activities including weather events, security incidents, and operational disruptions. 
 Maintain detailed operational records and provide timely reporting to leadership. 
 Promote a customer-focused environment and respond to public concerns or inquiries when necessary. 
 Emergency and Airfield Operations (Contingency Role): 
 Within three months of hire, the selected candidate must be able to perform certain airfield operational duties during emergencies, including: 
 Airfield inspections and condition reporting under FAA regulations. 
 NOTAM issuance and regulatory compliance monitoring. 
 Coordination of construction activities affecting airfield operations. 
 Documentation of incidents, accidents, and irregular operations. 
 Enforcement of airfield operational controls and vehicle movement procedures. 
 Qualifications: 
 Demonstrated experience overseeing terminal and landside operations at a commercial service airport. 
 Strong knowledge of passenger processing, airline operations, and terminal logistics. 
 Experience coordinating airline gate planning and utilization. 
 Proven supervisory experience in a complex operational environment. 
 Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills. 
 Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. 
 Ability to manage high-visibility operational issues and time-sensitive decisions. 
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. 
 Education and Experience: 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

 Valid driver&#8217;s license with acceptable driving record. 
 Ability to obtain required airport operational credentials and driving privileges. 
 Security Requirements: 
 Candidates must successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) background check, including fingerprinting and a 10-year employment history verification.

 Work occurs in both office and operational airport environments.
