COS Operations Agents enjoy the diverse and complex responsibility given to them on a daily basis. COS has a wide variety of aircraft operations. While working at COS you will coordinate with a growing airline and terminal operation, a strong GA community, a new USFS Air Tanker Base, and Peterson Space Force Base. Operations Agents are responsible for airfield safety & security inspections, emergency response, snow removal, and construction coordination.

Position Overview
Coordinate and perform airfield operations activities, including the inspection of airfield surfaces, perimeters, and buildings; record discrepancies and arrange for corrective actions
Implement and coordinate snow removal activities
Respond to all aircraft emergencies, incidents, and accidents; serve as the Airport liaison to the incident commander by coordinating responding services
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Knowledge of Airport Advisory Circulars
Knowledge of Airport Security Regulations 49 CFR part 1542 and Federal Aviation Regulations 14 CFR part 139
Ability to perform effectively and professionally in stressful situations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Have a strong work-ethic

Successful candidates will have:
A high school diploma or GED
One year of full-time airport ground operations, runway and taxiway maintenance, terminal aircraft support facilities, related lighting, and/or safety systems experience
Possess and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Ideal candidates will also demonstrate:
Bachelor's degree in aviation management or a related field
Knowledge of FAA and TSA standards for airport operations
The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is a city-owned, public-use commercial airport located in the heart of Colorado. COS is the primary-use airport for the Pikes Peak Region and Southern Colorado.
