								<description>Lincoln, Nebraska,  This position is non-supervisory in the routine operations of an air carrier airport and industrial park. Essential Functions 
 
 Create and maintain manuals, directives, rules and regulations, and statistical evaluations. Make recommendations on own initiative for improvement of airport security, safety, and operations.&#xa0; 
 Conduct inspections of, and submit reports on, the condition of runways, taxiways, ramps, hangars, and all other airport facilities to ensure regulatory compliance with the Airport Certification Manual, Wildlife Hazard Management Plan, Snow and Ice Control Plan, Airport Emergency Plan, and other procedures and regulations required by FAR Part 139.&#xa0; 
 Conduct inspections of, and submit reports on, the condition of airpark grounds and facilities, and routinely keep supervisors and colleagues apprised of the condition of the industrial park property. 
 Hours will vary during snow removal and emergency situations.&#xa0; 
 Perform office duties as assigned in the airport operations department, including the effective use of computer systems to record and retrieve data. 
 Train airport employees, vendors, and tenants in a variety of topics related to airport and airpark operations. 
 Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned at any time. 
 Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.

 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
 
 Must be a self-starter and be able to initiative to identify areas and/or items in need of attention. 
 Strong working knowledge of FAR Part 139 requirements 
 Must be able to successfully complete tasks and projects within the prescribed timeline without direct supervision. 
 Speak with clarity, and write and read English fluently. 
 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
 Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.&#xa0; 
 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.&#xa0; 
 Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized form. 
 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs 
 Operate motor vehicle in safe manner. 
 Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions of an airport and industrial park. 
 Knowledge of air carrier airport operations and security. 
 Considerable knowledge in the operation of computer systems and software programs.

 Education and/or Experience 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Aviation Management or similar subject area; or a minimum of three years of experience in the operation of a Part 139 Airport; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 Essential Responsibilities:&#xa0; 
 
 Responsible for operational oversight of a large team within Facilities to confirm the safety, security and efficiency of the 24/7 airport environment through administration and supervision of a skilled trades team. 
 Responsible for oversight of routine and preventive maintenance activities for all airport facilities, assets, associated systems as it relates to building maintenance, HVAC upkeep and repairs, utility systems, electrical and plumbing infrastructure. 
 Provides consistent communications with Airport Operations and the Airport Operation Duty Manager to ensure the Terminal Facilities and Operations teams are coordinating throughout the operational day. 
 Coordinates with the Contract Manager and Project Coordination teams to confirm contracted and outsourced work is being performed as expected and in tandem with Operations and Maintenance personnel on campus. 
 Oversees the development and monitoring of the annual operating and capital improvement project budgets to meet departmental requirements and annual goals. 
 Provides leadership and works with staff to create a high performance, service-oriented work environment that supports the Nashville airport experience. 
 Reviews of construction documents on the landside and airside areas of responsibility as well as airport improvement project requests to ensure all projects meet MNAA specifications, assets are built in the work order system and managed throughout the infrastructure&#39;s lifespan. 
 Monitors utility use and efficiencies through the building automation system and provides areas for improvement in reporting and consumption to the Director, Terminal Facilities and Operations. 
 Coordinates inventory of commonly used materials and equipment as well as tool management with the MNAA Warehouse and Facilities Supervisors for operational readiness across campus. 
 Develops and updates Policies &#38; Procedures for all activities involving inventory management, asset tracking, work order system adjustments, preventative maintenance schedules, tenant communications, prioritization of efforts as well as checklist for routine and emergency maintenance activities 
 Coordinates with Airport Safety to ensure the safety of personnel on campus performing regular duties as assigned. 
 Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the MNAA&#8217;s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching/mentoring staff, planning and directing work, appraising performance and resolving problems. 
 Responds to emergency and contingency situations 24/7. 
 Supports the Operations department during snow and ice control operations (i.e., provides personnel and equipment).

 Duties entail the wearing of fire fighter protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) weighing approximately 50 pounds.&#xa0; While wearing this clothing, the fire fighter must have the ability to carry, pull and/or drag heavy objects for distances exceeding 100 feet up and down ladders and stairs.&#xa0; Examples include but are not limited to charged hose lines 1 &#xbe;&#8221; in diameter or greater, rescue tools and equipment, potential victims, and power equipment.&#xa0; Firefighters must also have the ability to manipulate charged hose lines, use axes and other forcible entry tools, operate hydraulic rescue tools, generator, and other equipment.&#xa0; This position requires a considerable amount of physical strength and stamina.&#xa0; Firefighters must also have the ability to walk long distances and work long periods without rest. Employees must demonstrate their ability to perform these essential functions during their annual physical examinations.&#xa0; 
 The fire fighter must be able to read and understand policies, procedures, and technical publications of the FAA, Norfolk Airport Authority, Airport Fire Department, and other various training publications. Must have the ability to write reports in a clear and concise manner.&#xa0; Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal orders under both normal and stressful conditions.&#xa0; Must have the ability to interpret the airport runway, taxiway, and lighting system.&#xa0; Must be able to think and speak clearly and make decisions under stress.&#xa0; Fire fighters must have the basic mathematical skills required for pump operations in determining friction losses, gallons per minute flows, and nozzle pressures.&#xa0; Must be able to disseminate information in a clear, concise manner under adverse conditions. 
 WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:  The fire fighter must be able to work under adverse conditions associated with the intense heat and smoke encountered during firefighting.&#xa0; Must be able to function in a calm and professional manner during periods of intense stress.&#xa0; The fire fighter must be able to work from heights, in confined spaces, high noise areas, around jet exhaust fumes, and in darkness.&#xa0; Must have the ability to work in all adverse environmental conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.&#xa0; Under normal station conditions, the firefighter shall work in a two-story fire station requiring frequent climbing of stairs.&#xa0; The fire fighter shall also work in vehicle maintenance areas containing some vehicle exhaust fumes.&#xa0; Normal station conditions are comfortable, heated, and air-conditioned.&#xa0; Fire fighters work under conditions requiring the ability to clean station and apparatus, prepare meals, and make beds.&#xa0; Fire fighters work with various cleaning chemicals, motor oils, anti-freeze, AFFF, purple-K dry chemical, and are subject to exposure to other various chemicals and fuels under both normal and emergency conditions.
