Required Education:
High School
Performs airfield operations duties to ensure compliance with 14 CFR Part 139 and 77 regulations. Performs duties associated with the daily operation of airport facilities, maintains a safe environment for aircraft and the general public on an assigned shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays; responds to aircraft emergencies; provides aircraft rescue and firefighting services. Monitors facility security per 49 CFR Part 1542 requirements. Performs parking enforcement and other customer service functions. Initiates and conducts airside snow removal. Performs airfield, perimeter, and terminal inspections.
Minimum High School diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in aviation preferred. 1-2 years of progressively responsible related experience in aviation, security, firefighting, or a combination of education, training, and experience in the position's responsibilities.
Salary: $22.52-$26.00/hour starting with competitive benefits package and pay for certification increases.

Completion of FAA ARFF 40-hour course within six months of employment, EMR certification within six months of employment. Preferred certifications include AAAE basic/advanced ASOS school, AAAE ACE-Operations, Pilots License.
Employment with the airport is contingent upon a background investigation, a fingerprint-based criminal history record check, and upon the ability to meet and maintain the qualifications necessary for unescorted access authority pursuant to 49 CFR 1542. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
