The County of Contra Costa is seeking a Director of Airports. The Director of Airports reports directly to the Chief Deputy Public Works Director in matters of policy and issues coming before the Board of Supervisors. Under general direction, the Director manages and operates the County airports and plans for development of future airport facilities, developing and managing a capital improvement and maintenance program. Promotes and manages County property used for aviation purposes; represents the County in aviation matters and related community relations. Requires bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university with major in airport management, business administration, public administration, engineering, planning, law enforcement, security or closely related field.
