The Airport Operations Security Coordinator ensures compliance with federal, state and local requirements for commercial airports. Provides a safe and efficient transportation gateway to the region, allowing tourism to fuel the economy of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. Responsible for all aspects of Airport security and safety including snow removal, wildlife mitigation, and other safety related issues.

This position follows a sequence. Please note that all levels require Airside Movement Area Driving within three months of hire, NIMS/ICS Certifications (100, 200, NIMS 700,800) within 6 months of hire, and first aid and CPR certification within six months of hire:
Level I:
Up to one year interpreting and applying regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
Private Pilot’s License (preferred).
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
Level II (in addition to Level I):
1-3 years of experience in airport operations or facilities.
AAAE ACE OPS or ACE Security or AAAE Certified Member (CM) Certification.
Level III (in addition to Level II):
3 plus years of experience in airport operations or facilities.
