The Kenai Municipal Airport is a city-owned, full-service commercial and general aviation facility that serves as the primary air transportation gateway to the Kenai Peninsula Borough and West Cook Inlet. The airport operates with six full-time employees and an operating budget of $3.7 million. Airport functions include Administration, Terminal Operations, Airfield Operations, Airport Lands & Facilities, and Alaska Fire Training Facility. Under the general direction of the City Manager, the Airport Manager provides leadership and administrative oversight for all operations, functions, and personnel of the Kenai Municipal Airport.
