This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of airport facilities through daily airfield inspections, operational monitoring, and regulatory coordination.
The role independently conducts inspections of runways, taxiways, lighting, safety areas, and security infrastructure; issues and manages NOTAMs; and supports runway condition reporting and weather-related operations.
Responsibilities include coordinating snow removal, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with FAA, TSA, and local regulations.
The position oversees driver training programs, monitors construction and commercial activity, and supports wildlife hazard management and environmental compliance.
Additional duties include maintaining operational systems (parking, fueling), conducting security audits, managing stakeholder communications, and assisting with special projects.
The role requires strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills, the ability to work irregular hours, and knowledge of FAR Part 77, Part 139, and TSR 1542.
Experience and Education Requirements
High school equivalent education with work experience in aviation and airport operations; requires strong working knowledge of computer, including email. Associate or bachelor’s degree in an aviation related field is preferred.

Pass federal fingerprint based criminal history background check.
Must be able to obtain a FWACAA-issued AOA Driving Privileges
Available for recall during non-duty hours for emergencies, snow removal or other required duties.
