Columbus Regional Airport Authority is looking for an Airport Operations Coordinator who wants to “Land Your Next Career”! This position is based at John Glenn International Airport and will be tasked with ensuring all 3 airports are effectively and efficiently operated in a safe and secure manner.
The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR). Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence:
Maintain compliance with all aspects of the Airport Certification Manual (ACM).
Inspect the airfield daily and identify any discrepancies, issue proper notifications, and ensure proper resolution.
Monitor and mitigate wildlife activity on the airfield and work closely with the United States Department of Agriculture on issues.
Issue NOTAMS and field condition reports.
Represent airport operational interest regarding airfield construction and maintain projects in and around the airfield.
Oversee assigned special projects and collateral duties by conducting research and development of procedures.
Ensures compliance with TSR 1542 and assist with the Airport Security Program (ASP).
Implement Snow and Ice control plan to include surface assessments, monitoring weather, conducting de-ice pad control and coordinating removal activities with all tenants.
Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent education, work experience, knowledge, and skills
One (1) year of experience working in an airport operations environment
Possess a valid Ohio driver’s license, in good standing
Knowledge of airline and airport operations, applicable FAA requirements, policies and procedures and snow removal and ice control operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime, including weekends and holidays, and be on-call and respond on a 24-hour basis
